History: These houses face the northern- side of the Donkin Reserve. They stand in a terraced row on a steep hill, each one slightly lower than the one above it. These houses constitute a typical Victorian-style terrace, especially remarkable for the manner in which a number of individual houses are integrated into a single unit. In addition, this row of terraced houses gives a unique character to this particularly historic part of Port Elizabeth; by preserving it the traditional appearance of the vicinity will also be maintained.
