History: Granted to Isaac Schryver in 1692. In 1806 the farm passed to Coenraad Johannes Fick who probably built Lanzerac around 1830 by Coenraad Fick in the Cape Dutch style.

Schryver was a sargeant that led an expedition to Namaqualand succeeding where Olof Bergh had failed. He accompanied van der Stel to the Copper Mines. Also led an expedition as far as Aberdeen in the Great Karoo. Died at Lanzerac in 1705. His widow A Bibliography archive: f & c, 05.01, p 155
