Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

History: The original part of the Vineyard Hotel was built in the Adam style between 1799 and 1800 by Andrew Barnard and his wife, Lady Anne, as a country residence.
It was named "The Vineyard" by the Barnards. The natural beauty of the grounds still reflects the traditional rural character of Newlands.
