Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

History: The rear part of The Red House is believed to have been built before 1729 while the remainder of the house definitely dates from the early nineteenth century. The Red House is consequently one of the oldest houses in Cape Town's southern suburbs.
