Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

History: This imposing dwelling-house was completed in about 1911 for T. F. Allen, a subsequent mayor of Johannesburg (1917-1919), and testifies to the high expectations initially cherished for this part of Bezuidenhouts Valley. In addition to a lavishly decorated interior, the four stained glass windows, respectively entitled Commerce, Justice, Industry and Agriculture, are an exceptional feature of the house.
