History: Nos 1 to 15 Artillery Street were built during the nineties of the nineteenth century by the Government of the old South African Republic as homes for officers and non-commissioned officers of the "Staatsartillerie".
These houses form a unique architectural and military historical complex. It is important that the whole street facede be preserved.
