Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

History: This imposing building, with its predominantly Victorian features, dates from 1905/6. Moritz Jacobson, bought the property in 1921 and lived there until 1977, when he donated it to the Municipality of Philippolis to be used as a library. In 1978 it was taken over by the Provincial Administration of: the Orange Free State and restored.
