Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

History: The house was designed and built by the architect William Street-Wilson who was responsible for many notable buildings in Natal. The house was completed in 1897 and latter passed into the ownership of the Brown family and became known as the "Brown House" Recently (1988) aquired by Stauch Vorster.
Visual Description: A significant Berea villa of the Victorian period with Italianate characteristics.
The original portion of the Victorian manor-house, together with the front garden bordered by Musgrave Road, Durban.
A significant Berea Villa of the Victorian period with Italianite characteristics: two storeyed gabled veranda but with three storeyed tower at their junction marking the entrance: notable entrance porch and numerous details.
