Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Archive Import: Double -storied building of rectancular form; rusticated plasters with cartouchwindows, lancet windows: main doorway framed by round columns with composite capitals: has casement windows on ground floor and sliding sash on first floor.
History: This building, designed by the architect Stanley Hudson, was erected in 1911. Erected in 1910 on site of Natal Government Hospital, used as such until 1879. 1880-1894 housed the Durban High School and 1895-1907 accommodated a portion of Durban of Durban Boys Model School. In 1910 the present Supreme Court took the place of a hospital. Lands of the Municipality of Durban, Province of Natal.
