Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Entering Newcastle from Ladysmith take Allen Street turn-off from bypass and turn left into Scott St. The historic pavillion at St Dominic's Academy, Newcastle, situate on Consolidated Lot 382, Newcastle Township, in the Borough of Newcastle, County of Klip River, Province of Natal, and in extent (10,000) acres.

History: St Dominic's Academy was founded in 1891 as a convent and was run for 97 years by the Dominican sisters.
The pavilion was built in 1916 in the Victorian style. It is one of the few remaining structures of this type in South Africa.
