Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

The historic church building, situate on Subdivision 4 of Erf 672, the Townof Vryheid, in the Municipality and District of Vryheid, Province of Natal, and measuring 3,287 4 hectares.
Archive Import:Significance: This church was built at a cost of R26 000 and was consecrated on 12 October 1894.
History: The foundation stone was laid on 25 September 1851 by gen. Lucal Meyer. The church building was inaugurated on 12 October 1894. It was declared a national monument in 1973.
Visual Description: Constructed from local stone and is predominantly in the Neo-Gothic style.
