Site Comments:

To the east of the pan is fairly deep Aeolian sand and artefact counts in this area drop drastically. Most of the artefacts in this area consist of MSA flakes and blades with dorsal and lateral retouch, some pieces show signs of being utilised. All the MSA are on the locally available quartzite. LSA are microlithic mostly on CCS. The site falls within a large cluster of a high density artefacts indicated as a heritage sensitive area Artefact ratio around the pan varies but the highest frequency is found on the eastern and southern side of the pan (>5 per m²).
