Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

The site comprises of an old farmstead, with structures in a fair state of conservation, including a dairy, the original homestead situated immediately next to the dairy and a large stone built stock enclosure . An additional, smaller stone built stock enclosure is situated just south of the site. The additional stock enclosure is at present formally fenced. The exact date of construction of the site is not known, but it can reasonably be inferred that the structures date at minimum to the early 1900’s; the site pre-dating 60 years of age
