Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

The PFT2 locality demarcates the van der Westhuizen grave site, former landowners of the property Platfontein 68. The site is situated on a low rising hill with the hill, rather than the immediate grave site formally fenced with an access gate. A roofed structure has been built as additional conservation measure. The formal Colonial Period graves post-dates 60 years of age, but not being situated in a municipal cemetery they are formally protected by the NHRA 1999. The inscribed double gravestone carries the inscription ‘Ter gedagtenis aan – Johannes Bejamin (gebore – 2-1-1902; oorlede – 9-7-1982) / Machel Elizabeth geb. Roux (gebore – 8-12-1915; oorlede 8-12-1979) – van der Westhuizen’.
