Case Type:

ProposalDescription:

Proposed alterations and additions to existing dwelling, new ancillary unit and entertainment area and new garaging on a property which is or which may reasonably be expected to 6o yrs old on Erf 5703 of Durban, 259 King George V Avenue, Glenmore, Durban, Ethekwini, KwaZulu Natal. Drawing no: 6244/14

Expanded_Motivation:

The existing dwelling is a typical Cape Dutch Style house and attached to it is a flat roof garage with a plaster moulding feature. The existing garage to the house has now been converted to a family room with a balcony overlooking the view to match the existing balcony to the house. Adjacent to this is a new double garage and private workshop with a flat roof and parapet walls to match the existing dwelling. To the boundary adjacent to the university properties, the construction will consist of a new double garage adjoining an ancillary unit and a lower ground floor entertainment area following the slope of the ground adjacent to the existing pool. This building will also have a flat roof with feature plaster mouldings which matches the existing outbuilding where only internal alterations will take place. The pergola, doors and windows all have been designed to match the existing South East elevation of the dwelling. The purpose of our design is for the end result not to look like alterations but all blend with the existing buildings on site.
