Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

The internal alterations to the existing building are necessary for the following reasons:- a. To create a dining area for all the workers to have an area in which they can order and eat during their lunch breaks, and have an area that is suitability big enough to cater for everyone to do so.

Expanded_Motivation: 

Our brief was to create an area which would be suitability big enough to house all workers during their lunch breaks to sit down and eat their lunch. The alterations are as follows:- The existing ablution for females & males to remain unchanged as well as the entrance foyer area leading up stairs to the office component. Half of the remainder of the ground floor will have the existing dry walled offices & existing kitchen removed and a new open planned dining hall created for the works to sit down at lunch times, there will be new components added in order to make the running of the new canteen more functional like: new food receiving are, new meal preparation area, new serving area, new cooking are, new scullery area, new kitchen area, new office for manager to run canteen and new security office.
