Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

ABO Ribbok Wind Energy Facility 6 (Pty) Ltd is proposing the development of a wind energy facility with a generation capacity of up to 300 MWac. The facility is to be known as the ABO Ribbok Wind Energy Facility 6 and is proposed as part of a cluster of four wind energy facilities and eight solar photovoltaic (PV) energy facilities. The proposed facility is to be located ~19 km northwest of the centre of the town of Hanover and ~43 km northeast of the centre of the town of Richmond and in the Emthanjeni and Ubuntu Local Municipalities and the Pixley ka Seme District Municipality, Northern Cape Province. Infrastructure proposed as part of the facility include wind turbines (number and maximum development specifications to be confirmed), on-site facility substation hub, battery energy storage system, temporary and permanent laydown areas, internal and external/main access roads, internal reticulation network, operation and maintenance buildings. The up to 11577 ha development is proposed on Remaining Extent of the Farm Vaal Bank No. 36, Remaining Extent of the Farm No. 56, Portion 2 of the Farm No. 56, Portion 3 of the Farm No. 56, Portion 1 of the Farm Dwaalfontein A No. 58, Remaining Extent of the Farm Jaag Fountain No. 60, Portion 1 of the Farm Schraal and Bitter Vlakte No. 61, Portion 3 of the Farm Schraal and Bitter Vlakte No. 61, Portion 4 of the Farm Schraal and Bitter Vlakte No. 61, Portion 6 of the Farm Schraal and Bitter Vlakte No. 61, Remaining Extent of the Farm Nieuwe Fontein No. 62, Portion 2 of the Farm Nieuwe Fontein No. 62, Portion 4 of the Farm Nieuwe Fontein No. 62, Portion 5 of the Farm Nieuwe Fontein No. 62 and Portion 3 of the Farm Elandsfontein No. 67
