Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Expanded_Motivation: 

AGES Limpopo (Pty) Ltd has been appointed by Lewton (Pty) Ltd Ltd to undertake the environmental Basic Assessment process for the proposed New Hope 132kV Powerlines Project on Remaining Extent of the Farm Onder Rugzeer 168, and/or Remaining Extent of the Farm Boven Rugzeer 169, and/or Farm 420, and/or Portion 1 of the Farm N’Rougas Zuid 121, and/or Portion 2 of the farm N’Rougas Zuid 121, and/or Portion 4 of the Farm N’Rougas Z, ZF Mgcawu District Municipality in the Northern Cape Province. Lewton is proposing the new distribution powerlines (132kV or 400kV) between the proposed New Hope Solar Parks and the Eskom Nieuwehoop Main Transmission Substation (MTS). The Eskom Nieuwehoop Main Transmission Substation (MTS) is located 13 km East of the project site, on Portion 3 of the Farm Gemsbok Bult 120. The project consists of the following components: - Powerline Corridor (Alternative 1) over approximately 14km - Powerline Corridor (Alternative 2) over approximately 9km - Internal Powerline Corridors
