Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Alterations & Additions to building protected in terms of section 33(1) of the KZN Heritage Act (over 60 years of age), on erf 197 Springfield, being 125 Peter Mokaba (North Ridge) Road, Morningside, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, and in accordance with P BUDHOO drawing no 15-05-2013/1, & /2, dated 15/05/2013.

Expanded_Motivation: 

Existing dwelling over 60 years old. Owner purchased recently. Dwelling in very poor condition. Some windows need replacing - wood rot. Roof is borer infested - needs new roof. Existing wooden floors on ground need to be removed and is being concreted. Ex. wooden roof is being removed and replaced by concrete slab with open deck above. Some windows are being replaced. with other internal changes. Front boundary walls are being extended. New dry stack retaining wall built at rear.
