Changes to SAHRIS!

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Construct a second room and a kitchen, toilet ,lounge to ground floor. Construct a first floor to existing outbuilding. Turn main building veranda into en-suite for main bedroom. Proposed alteration to 16 Joubert Place, Bellair ,Durban

Expanded_Motivation:

The current outbuilding has been constructed to poorly to accommodate one person as it was for helpers cotters small and no space. The building has poor natural light and poor ventilation. The roof slopes towards the inside of the building with a gutter in the room as drainage. When it rains the water enters the room to wet the floor. The proposed alteration would add a second bedroom , kitchen , lounge and bathroom with much needed space. Building using brick and mortar for construction. New aluminum windows , internal wooden door frames to be installed. Brick work to be plastered and painted. The first floor to be constructed on top of ground floor using concrete floor slab , brick and mortar with new aluminum windows internal woode3n door frames brick to be plastered and painted. New roof to be installed using wooden roof trusses and roof tiles for finish. Main building : To convert part of veranda in to a en suite for main bedroom. Brick up all openings and install aluminum window frame and frosted window glass. Door way to be cut out to join new en-suite to main bedroom using concrete lentils..
