Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

The Environmental Authorisation Application is for prospecting activities for the following mineral: Ball Clay which is located approximately at 30.2km North of Davel Community in Ermelo, close to a Klein Olifants non-perennial river on the eastern side and farmhouses are seen closer to the farm boundary on the western side. The proposed prospecting activities will be covered under application reference: MP 30/5/1/1/2/15707R will be undertaken on Re of the farm; Volharding 265 IS, situated in the Magisterial District of Ermelo, Mpumalanga Province.

Expanded_Motivation: 

Environmental Management Programme Report for Volharding 265 IS on Remaining Extent where the area for prospecting is approximately at 30.2km North of Davel Community in Ermelo and also St Helen at about 11.7km. The project area is close to a Klein Olifants non-perennial river on the eastern side with depressions, channelled valley bottom wetlands, seeps and flats seen around and within the prospecting area. They are farmhouses seen closer to the farm boundary on the western side. The project area is approximately 15.7km north eastern side of the webbsrus rail siding. The area is in between Hendrina and Bethal and can be accessed through N11 and R38 which goes into the gravel route to the site.
