Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Langskuur Trust is proposing the construction of a piggery with construction of a piggery with capacity for 1100 sows & 26 000 pigs (including weaners) in total on Portion 7 of the farm Doornpoort 262 IP, situated in Ottosdal District within Tswaing Local Municipality area. The need for a Basic Assessment is triggered by Listing 1; (ACTIVITY NO. 4) The development and related operation of facilities or infrastructure for the concentration of animals in densities that exceed (ii) 8 square meters per small stock unit and; b) more than 250 pigs per facility excluding piglets that are not yet weaned. (ACTIVITY NO. 27) The clearance of an area of 1 hectare or more, but less than 20 hectares of indigenous vegetation, Listing 3: (ACTIVITY NO. 12) The clearance of an area of 300 square meters or more of indigenous vegetation except where such clearance of indigenous vegetation is required for maintenance purposes undertaken in accordance with a maintenance management plan. Bucandi Environmental Solutions (Bucandi) was requested by Langskuur Trust to conduct a Basic Assessment as part of the application for environmental authorisation.
