ProposalDescription:

Proposed circular stairway and pathway to afford access to visitors to Noka rock art site, Lapalala Wilderness, Waterberg, Limpopo Province

Expanded_Motivation:

Noka rock art site is within the Lapalala Wilderness, Waterberg. Noka rock art site has a SAHRA approved management plan to regulate visitors to Noka rock art site. In order to enable guests to access the site safely, Lepogo Lodges, which has a concession in the Lapalala Wilderness, wishes to construct a staircase and pathway to Noka rock art site. Note that these structures are not in the site itself and will have no impact on the archaeological or aesthetic value of the place. The staircase is around a corner from the site and 30 m away. The path to the site would have a very low visual impact and would only extend as far the boundary of the site.
