Development Type:

ProposalDescription:

The proposed development includes upgrading the current low-level crossing into a high-level bridge and constructing a culvert structure on the district road D1724 to redirect the flow of water for the watercourse that intersects the road, within the uLundi Municipality, Kwazulu Natal.

Expanded_Motivation:

The previous low-level crossing along the D1724 was overtopped by the crossing tributary, resulting in flooding and thus restricting access to residents. Therefore, investment in this development is necessary to provide residents with a safer, more accessible, and more efficient method of crossing the Vungu river.
