Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Triangulum Energy (Pty) Ltd (Reg. No. 2021/534197/07) is proposing the establishment of a solar energy generation facility with associated infrastructure and structures on part of Portion 1 of the Farm Geelhoutskloof 359 LQ, located within the Lephalale Local Municipality, Waterberg District Municipality, Limpopo Province. Exigent Engineering Consultants CC has been appointed to oversee the legislative environmental processes applicable to the proposed project. The renewable energy generation facility will use Photovoltaic (PV) technology. The name of the proposed facility will be DELTA SOLAR PARK. The PV Power Plant will have a maximum generating capacity of up to 75 MW. The proposed Delta Solar Park will deliver the electrical energy to Eskom’s Thabazimbi Combined -Waterberg 1” 132 kV power line which transverses over the proposed project site. The Eskom power line will loop in and out of the 132 kV busbar of the new on-site substation, via two new sections of 132 kV lines of approximately 100 meters in length

Expanded_Motivation: 

The proposed development site is located on a footprint up to 152 hectares in extent on a part of Portion 1 (234 ha) of the Farm Geelhoutskloof 359 LQ, (measuring 838.3128 hectares in extent), located in the Lephalale Local Municipality, Waterberg District Municipality, Limpopo Province. The proposed PV Power Plant is located within the quarter degree grid cell 2327CD and has the geographic coordinates at 23°45' 41.28"S and 27°25’ 41,16"E and an approximate extent of 152 Ha. An Environmental Authorisation application will be submitted National Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment (DFFE) in terms of the EIA Regulations under Section 24(5), and 44 of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended of the intent to carry out the Environmental Impact Assessment Process (in terms of listed activity 9, 10, 11, 24, and 25 of Listing Notice 1 – GN R983, as amended (GNR 327) and listed activity 1, 9, 15 and 25 of Listing Notice 2 – GN R984, as amended (GNR 325) and listed activity 4, 12 and 14 of Listing Notice 3 - GN R985, as amended (GNR 324). The listed activities triggered under GN R983, GN R984 and GN R985), will require an EIA Process. An Integrated Water Use License Application (IWULA) will be submitted to the Department of Water and activities triggered under GN R983, GN R984 and GN R985, will require an EIA Process. An Integrated Water Use License Application (IWULA) will be submitted to the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) for applicable water uses listed in Section 21 of the National Water Act,1998 (Act 36 of 1998).
