Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Expanded_Motivation: 

The town of Dordrecht in the Eastern Cape is currently experiencing critical water shortages. An increased level of service delivery to full waterborne sanitation for the entire town is planned for the near future which will put further strain on the water supply. A number of upgrade and additional water supply projects are thus being planned. Environmental authorisations will be required for some of these. There are 3 main components to the project: Water will be sourced from boreholes. 1. Emergency supply: The equipping of two boreholes situated to the south of town, the construction of pump houses for each of the two boreholes and connection to the existing supply pipeline 2. Immediate Water Supply Upgrades: The equipping of two boreholes to the East of town, the construction of pump houses for each of the two boreholes and the reticulation from the boreholes to the Water Treatment Works 3. Replacing the existing asbestos cement (AC) pipeline: TThe replacement of the existing raw water supply AC pipeline with a new uPVC pipeline
