Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Ficksburg-Meqheleng 11kV power line

ProposalDescription: 

Build 1km 11kV line from Ficksburg substation to Meqheleng sw/st (Install 185mm2 CU XLPE three phase cable at Ficksburg and Meqheleng SW/ST). The project is proposed in Ficksburg, Setsoto local municipality on farm Ficksburg Dorpsgronden 75, Free State province.  Install 11kV Close Delta Voltage Regulator at pole FD 147  Close normal open point between Charlie and Meqheleng Alpha – FMQC 13-2-33 and FMQA 13-1-23  Open between FMQC13-2-30 and FMQC 13-2-31  Close normal open point between Charlie and Meqheleng Bravo – FMQC 13-2-140 and FMQB 95-13  Open between FMQC 13-2-86 and FMQC 13-2-85 Wooden poles will be utilised in the infrastructure design which are 11 meters tall and go 1.8 meters deep in the ground when planted.

Expanded_Motivation: 

The 11kV power line is proposed to supply electricity from the Ficksburg munic substation to the Meqheleng township to electrify the government granted houses in Meqheleng Extension 11 phase 2.
