ProposalDescription:

In the last year the overflow of municipal sewage supply has created a significant wetland on the Platfontein farm in Kimberley in the Northern Cape. The has caused the water to cross one of the main roads and submerged Eskom infrastructure in water. Eskom Needs to do an approximate 2.1km re-rote of the line portion that is currently under water.

Expanded_Motivation:

Eskom needs to re-route the line portion that is currently under water as it is a safety risk to the public, the environment and Eskom is unable to do maintenance on that portion of the line should a break-down occur. The line will be re-routed for approximately 2.1km to avoid the water source as well as any future water sources.
