ProposalDescription:

Eskom has been requested by Madibeng Local Municipality to electrify Itsoseng Phase 3 and 5 as part of service delivery and universal access to electricity. The project is part of 2022/2023 Electrification Plan. The development falls under GaRankuwa CNC in the Tshwane West Sector. There are 1100 stands to be electrified at an ADMD of 2.4kVA per stand.

Expanded_Motivation:

The project entails construction of MV and LV power lines to electrify 1100 households in Itsoseng area. The connections are situated close to pole MMOK106-2-35-25 of the Mabopane B/Mokwepa 11kV feeder which does not have capacity for additional load. Introduction of these new connections results in Ga Rankuwa-Midway-Nooitgedacht 33kV feeder experiencing thermal overload at peak conditions as per studies conducted. Supply to the area will be by an 11kV power line that will be constructed from Nooitgedacht Substation to Itsoseng. Bush clearing will be required before commencement of the project. There were no graves discovered in the vicinity of the of the project site during surveying phase of the project.
