Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Proper Country Construction proposes the development of a mixed-use township development on Portion 2 of the Farm Leeuwfontein 299 JR to be known as Leeuwfontein X 29. The study area is approximately 48.65 ha in extent and falls within Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, Gauteng Province.

Expanded_Motivation: 

The Study Site is situated on Portion 2 of the Farm Leeuwfontein 299-JR, City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, Gauteng Province. The study area is 48.65 ha in extent. The proposed township development area is located north of Road K14 ( Cullinan - Pretoria Road/ R513), east of Leeuwfontein Road and south of the proposed PWV 2 Road alignment. The Edendalspruit forms the eastern and northern boundary of the site. The GPS coordinates of the main landmarks within the project area are as follows: • Approximate centre of study site: 25°40’24.17” South; 28°23’42.89” East. • Quarter Degree Square (QDS): 2528CB. • Quaternary Drainage Area (QDA): A23A. The 21 digit Surveyor General Codes for the property is T0JR00000000029900002 and the title deed Nr. is T124763/96. The proposed township is located in the eastern development areas of Tshwane - Region 5. The farm portion is currently zoned “Undetermined” in terms of the TSHWANE Town Planning Scheme 2008 (Revised 2014). Figures 1, 2 & 3 below. The site is located in close proximity to established and newly developments areas of Gem Valley townships, Glen Way estate townships, Ramagopa Heights Township as well as various informal townships in Leeuwfontein. The area in which the property is located is within the Urban Edge and earmarked for Future Township Residential development and mixed land uses abutting the mobility spine K14 Cullinan Road. The proposed township is located in an area that is experiencing growth and has been identified as a priority area for Tshwane Human Settlements. The Applicant proposes the establishment of a mixed-use township consisting of the following land uses: Residential 2 (40 Units/Ha); Residential 3 (80 Units/Ha); Business 2; Community Facilities- Educational; and Open Space.
