Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Eskom has been requested by the Mahikeng Local Municipality to electrify Madibe Makgabana Village as part of service delivery and universal access to electricity. The project is part of the 2023/2024 Electrification Plan. The development falls under Stella CNC. The development consists of 193 new stands as infills and the design is for 537 stands in total which are all occupied. Out of the 193 infills, 97% are Tin and 3% are Brick types. There is communal water around with electricity to be supplied by Eskom.

Install a new overhead MV & LV infrastructure and supply 537 stands (193 infills included) with service connections by installing the following: 22kV MV Infrastructure : String 11 742m 3ph MV Fox conductor. : 101 x 11m, 160-179mm Wood Poles. : 10 x 11m, 180-199mm Wood Poles. : 7 x 9m, 180-199mm Wood Poles. : 11 x 12m, 180-199mm Wood Poles. :5 x 50kVA and 7 x 100 kVA Transformers LV Infrastructure : String 4 179m x 70mm² 3ph ABC Conductor. : String 13 407m x 35mm² 3ph ABC Conductor. : 496 x 7m 120-139mm, 83 x 9m 9.0X160-179 mm, and 187 x 5m 80-100mm Wood Poles Auxiliary Equipment : 193 Ready Boards & 193 PLC Smart Meters. : 180 x 2-way & 26 x 4-way P/T boxes. : 10 x 63A, 14 x 125A LV fuses and 5 x 80A, 7 x 150A MCCBs. : 18 008m x CABLE, ELECT:230 V; XLPE ;2C ;6mm2 for 193 plus 150 relocating connections Dismantling : 6 460m of ABC 1ph 35mm2, 170 x 7m poles, 18 x LV Stays, 1 240m of 2ph MV fox, 19x 11m 160-179mm : poles, 10 x MV stays, move 3 x32kVA, 1 x 50kVA, and 1 x 16kVA TRFRs to the local CNC for re-use
