Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Eskom has been requested by Mahikeng Local Municipality to electrify Meetmekaar Extension. The development falls under Lichtenburg CNC and in the Mahikeng Local Municipality area. It is part of the 2022/23 Electrification Plan. The development consists of 34 stands. The houses are of brick and tin types. No other services have been installed and with electricity to be supplied by Eskom. The aim of this project is the electrification of 34 stands at Meetmekaar Extension. Electrical reticulation, i.e. conductor network, will be provided which can deliver 0.85kVA per stand.

Expanded_Motivation: 

The supply to the development shall be from the existing Bodibe-Matile Duikerbos 22kV feeder supplied from Springbokpan/Bodibe substation, by means of a t-off between pole BMD47-48-5 and BMD47-48-6 with 3ph Fox conductor. The infrastructure shall consist of 3-phase overhead MV comprising Fox ACSR conductor supported on 11m wooden poles and LV comprising 35mm² ABC with bare neutral supported on 7m wooden poles. Delta with 2m steel crossarm shall be used for MV intermediates and Delta with 2.5m wood crossarms shall be used for MV strain structures. Pole mounted transformer, 50kVA, of SANS780 type shall be used and shall be individually fused and the fuses installed a span away from transformers. MV and LV infrastructure shall run street-front. Each LV feeder shall be individually fused at the transformer structure and transformers shall be protected against overloading by means of 80A MCCB’s. The house connections shall be overhead with 6mm² Tinned CU Steel concentric cable. Meters shall be of prepayment split type, with Energy Management Unit (EMU) installed inside the pole-top box, the Customer Interface Unit (CIU) handed over to the customer and the ready-board shall be installed inside the dwellings. Blanket 20A connections shall be made.
