Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

ProposalDescription: 

Mining (Quarry) activities will be undertaken over a period of two (2) years. This project will entail collection of an exposed rock from the surface to the crushing plant and excavation method of pit. The quarry design will be developed according to the dimension of the mineral applied deposit within the project area, but overall quarry activities will be limited to an area of 5 Ha as per mining permit requirements.

Expanded_Motivation: 

Once an exposed rock collected up from the surface, the rock from underneath will be extracted by creating a pit where cutting method will be used and blasting where necessary to loosen the rock. The loosened material will then be loaded onto trucks by excavators to crushing plant. A haul road will be situated at the side of the pit. All the activities will be guided by
