ProposalDescription:

eThekwini Municipality department of Water and Sanitation (EWS), proposes to construction of a reinforced 6Ml concrete reservoir, ancillary works and access road in the KwaNqetho township located in Inanda, eThekwini Municipality. The proposed new reservoir will be constructed in place of the existing 0.89Ml reservoir. The proposed new reservoir will be located on a hill top, approximately 415m above sea level. The surface area of this hill top, where the existing reservoir is constructed, is too small to construct the 6Ml reservoir. Therefore, EWS proposes to bury the reservoir, this will be done via phased blasting that will occur at 2m depth intervals.
