Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

The proposed project is a upgrade of the existing P236 gravel road within the existing 30 m road reserve to a Class 3 single carriageway with an 8, 5 m wide surfaced road including 1, 0 m wide surfaced shoulders which will be trimmed at the road edges with gravel roundings which are 1, 0 m and 0, 5 m wide in fill and cut conditions

Expanded_Motivation: 

The upgrading of Provincial Road P236 in Ubombo within the Jozini Local Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal comprises of the relocation of services, the construction of bulk earthworks required for the horizontal and vertical alignment of the existing road formation, design and construction of road layerworks and surfacing, including the associated ancillary works for the construction of the access roads off this main road to neighbouring communities. The proposed project is a road upgrade of the existing P236 gravel road to a Class 3 single carriageway with an 8, 5 m wide surfaced road including 1, 0 m wide surfaced shoulders which will be trimmed at the road edges with gravel rounding’s which are 1, 0 m and 0, 5 m wide in fill and cut conditions. In addition, seven (7) existing culverts have been identified for replacement within the existing P236 Road.
