ProposalDescription:

The dwelling is an early loosely 1920’s styled single story dwelling. It is obscured from Cluny Road by a high wall and gates. It sits slightly below the road. According to the original plans, it was passed in 1922. There have been alterations to this building in the past: examples are mentioned below. It is a good example of a suburban domestic architecture, of which many other examples exist. The intention is to construct a 1st storey study and guest room above the existing lounge. All work is to be carried out with sensitivity to the historic fabric, and, where necessary, to reuse materials such as roof tiles. The owners are also very interested in utilising new sustainable building techniques to fall in line with the new XA regulations
