ProposalDescription:

Proposed alterations & additions to ERF 943 Queensburgh, 65 Ethelbert Road, Malvern, Queensburgh, Durban, eThekwini, KwaZulu-Natal.

Expanded_Motivation:

I am writing to you with the hopes that you will grant me the permission needed to help improve the aesthetics and property value in my community. No 65 Ethelbert Road, Malvern was purchased in 2013, at that time it was being run as a crèche. My intention was to continue running a pre-school from the premises. Unfortunately this was not to be because the previous owner had not been totally honest about the condition of the building. This building is literally falling apart. The roof leaks terribly, with a result the wooden floors were caving in because of the on-going dampness. The building is also ridden with wood borers making the wooden floors, ceiling and roof rafters unstable. Although this building may have been built a long time ago, there is absolutely nothing historical about it, there is no specific architectural design, there is nothing of historical value inside or outside the building, there is absolutely nothing that can be salvaged. It is also an eyesore because of the condition that it is in. My plan is to remove and replace the rotting roof, clean out the insides, remove and replace the rotting wooden floors, plaster and paint the walls, thus improving the overall aesthetics of the building. Pictures have been provided to further substantiate my claims. I look forward to receiving a positive response to help improve the value of the above mentioned property. Thanking you
