Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Proposed Construction of Mahube Valley Storm Water Management Pipes at Mamelodi Township, City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, Gauteng

ProposalDescription: 

The proposed construction of stormwater management pipes upgrade will entail the installation of water pipelines in the following road reserves i Mahube valley: Solomon Mahlangu, Mabena Avenue and Tsamaya Street. The bulk pipes length ranges 516 to 2200m. The proposed development will come with the upgrades of the roads and pavement and the road width will be 7.0m wide

Expanded_Motivation: 

Flooding in Mahube Valley poses a death threat in this community, these floods also damages the properties of the residence of were Mahube Valley: aqua Most affected houses lies within the flood line and where the storm water is not adequately controlled. There is a poor drainage infrastructure on roads at other part of Mahube valley. Flooding in this area in now common especially during wet season. Some existing houses have been built within the natural water course and along a strategic storm water culvert that is required to convey bulk storm water drainage. In the light of the above challenges, City of Tshwane has initiated an investigation of the existing storm water system in the area with the view of obtaining recommendations for the upgrading of the storm water management system.
