ProposalDescription:

Eston abattoir is a project that involves the slaughtering of cattle, pigs, sheep and goats to produce meat red and white meat for sale to retailers and hospitality industry. Th abattoir was previously being used as a chicken abattoir and red meat abattoir; however, the abattoir is currently vandalized and has been abandoned by the previous owner. Due to this, there are several buildings within the property and the existence of 3 boreholes and a water stream, which is an assurance of a secure water supply. This abattoir size falls within a medium size and the slaughter capacity is estimated at six cows per day. This does not include the slaughter capacity of other animals, such as the pigs, sheep and goats. The existing abattoir will be upgraded and refurbished to include the following structures:  Refurbishment of existing abattoir  Supply of abattoir equipment  Expansion of abattoir (new structure for processing area)  Water supply  Power supply including backup generator  Construction of waste management structure  Construction of holding pen and loading ramp  Boundary fence of the project  Refurbishment of change rooms, toilets and offices  Construction of feed storage shed  Access road (gravel)  Construction of vehicle wash bay
