Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

TPR Mining Resources (Pty) Ltd was appointed by Tom Berry Trading Enterprise cc to undertake Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for the proposed prospecting activities situated along the R51 route from Springs town to Nigel on a portion of portion 28 of the farm Grootfontein 165 IR, within the jurisdiction of City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, Gauteng Province.This will be done in terms of the legal requirements of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No 107 of 1998) and Government NoticesR982 of 2014,read together with the Mineral Petroleum Resource development Act 2002 (Act 28 of 2002).The proposed project will undergo the process of Basic Assessment Process. Authorization in this case has to be granted by Department of Mineral Resources. An acceptance letter has been received from the competent authority.Consultative Basic Assessment Report will be submitted to the competent authority, and will be available for comments from interested and affected parties and the state Department for comments for 30 Calendar days.
