Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

: It is proposed The proposed shooting range will have 4 shooting ranges, a parking area and fire breaks to be used during construction and maintenance as an access road. Shooting range 1: Will be a 300m range in length on which all the members can practice shots that range between 50-300m. Shooting range 2: Will be 50m in length also open to members but the public and state training institutions will also have access to this range. Shooting range 3: Will be a 200m range which will be open to the public that want to test and set their rifles. Shooting range 4: Will be a range from 300-900m in length, this range will only be open to the Bisley group and bench-rest members. It will also only be used once every two months with prior notice. The site is located about 10km directly North of Upington adjacent to the DR3322 on the Karakul experimental farm. 28°20'2.36"S, 21°15'5.87"E
