Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

PROPOSED UPGRADING OF P263 AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION IN MATIWANE

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport proposes to undertake the upgrade of Road P263 and bridge construction in Matiwane. The proposed development will involve the upgrade of P263 road, and will also entail bridge and culvert construction and upgrade (approximately six). The extent of the road is 21km. The existing road width is 3.5m in each direction and will be expanded to 4.25 in each direction, consisting of a 3.25m lane width and a 1m blacktop shoulder. There is an existing bridge at km 10.5, which will not be upgraded; however a new two lane bridge will be constructed in a new alignment. The new two lane bridge will not be in the existing road reserve, and will lie 15m away. This new bridge will be 35m long and 10.96m wide.
