Changes to SAHRIS!

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Prospecting activities described in this Prospecting Work Programme (“PWP”) are designed to determining the ore resource potential of the proposed application area. The prospecting activities will be a combination of both non-invasive and invasive methods (drilling). A suitable level of feasibility study (technical and economic evaluation) will also be undertaken.

Prospecting work to be performed. • Phase 1 – (months 1 – 12) Geological Mapping (months 3 to 10) The mapping exercise is two-fold, the first being the mapping of geological contacts in undisturbed areas to obtain a general layout of the orebody/s. This information will also be substantiated by the geophysical survey. The second exercise will be the detailed mapping of all old excavations, which include face sampling to determine grade distributions. All the information will be put on plan. Geophysical survey (months 3 to 4) A pre-planned grid will be surveyed in to do a 3-D micro gravity survey. A ground magnetic survey will be done concurrently to the gravity survey. The results thereof will be plotted and used in conjunction with the geological information. Preliminary Geophysical Report (month 10) A report will be drafted and the data will be modeled to indicate the geometry of the orebody in 3-D. This information will be used for drill hole planning, the execution of the drilling program and, in conjunction with the geological report at the end of month 11, to determine the resource base of the deposit. Preliminary Geological Report (month 12) A report will be drafted and the data will be modeled, also applying the geophysical results, to confirm the geometry of the orebody with grade interpolations. The resulting resource classification will be used to inform the directors of the company and used as motivation to raise further funds to continue with the rest of the exploration programme. Initial Drilling (±25 drill holes) The initial drilling will cover the total area of interest on a 200m grid to verify the gravity survey and to adjust it where necessary, secondly to obtain a basic knowledge of the volumes and grade distribution throughout the orebody/s and finally to indicate areas of interest for follow-up work. Logging of holes (months 12 - 18) Each hole is logged by the geologist on site on a continuous basis. The completed log sheets will be transferred to the offices and given to the data capturers on a regular basis. Sampling (months 12 - 18) During the logging of each hole, the geological technician and a helper will sample all ore intersections on site on a continuous basis. Each sample will be splitted, bagged and labeled. One set of samples will be bagged for dispatch to the laboratory while the duplicates will be stored for future reference. Sample analyses (months 18 - 24) Samples collected and bagged will be dispatched to the relevant laboratory for the analysis of manganese and iron on a weekly basis. Other trace elements will be monitored simultaneously for marketing purposes. The values will be sent back with the relevant certificates. Data capturing (months 18 - 24) The log sheets received from the project geologist on an ongoing basis will be divided between the data capturers who will computerize all information. The resulting files created will be sent back to the project geologist who will create a central database for the project. The original written log sheets are then filed for future reference, Geological interpretations (months 18 – 24) The central database will be verified using registered software before import into geological software where geo-statistical analysis will be done. The data, the geo-statistical results and the geophysical results during the 1st phase will then be used to create a 3-D model of the orebody and the 3-D grade distribution of the ore/s. Progress Report (months 20 - 24) The progress reports will be created using the geological interpretations to keep the directors and investment company/s updated on the progress made during the particular phase completed. Phases 3 – Drill planning (months 25 - 36) Drill hole planning will need to be done for the purpose it is required for. Each planning phase will be based on the geological/geophysical information gained from the previous exploration stage. The planning is to ensure that the information to be gained from the planned drilling serves its purpose. Planning primary infill drilling (±20 drill holes) The primary infill drilling will cover the total area of interest on a 100m grid to verify the positive initial drilling results and to adjust it where necessary, secondly to obtain a basic knowledge of the volumes and grade distribution throughout the orebody/s and finally to indicate further areas of interest for follow-up work. Phases 4 – Drill planning (months 37 - 48) Drill hole planning will need to be done for the purpose it is required for. Each planning phase will be based on the geological/geophysical information gained from the previous exploration stage. The planning is to ensure that the information to be gained from the planned drilling serves its purpose. Planning secondary infill drilling (only if previous phases proved to be positive) The secondary infill drilling will cover the total area of interest on a 50m grid to verify the positive primary drilling results and to adjust it where necessary, secondly to obtain a in depth knowledge of the volumes and grade distribution throughout the orebody/s and finally to indicate further areas of interest for follow-up work. Phase 5 – Drill planning (months 49 – 60) Drill hole planning will need to be done for the purpose it is required for. Each planning phase will be based on the geological/geophysical information gained from the previous exploration stage. The planning is to ensure that the information to be gained from the planned drilling serves its purpose. Planning tertiary infill drilling (only if previous phases proved to be positive) The tertiary infill drilling will cover the areas of importance on a 25m grid to verify the positive secondary drilling results and to adjust it where necessary, secondly to obtain a in depth knowledge of the volumes and grade distribution throughout the positive holes in the orebody/s. Competent Persons Report (CPR) The final report once the exploration has been completed will be based on all information gained during the different phases and will be in a format to comply with requirements of the Stock Exchanges, whether it be in the JORC, SAMREC, AIM, MI 43-101 formats. The document will also be essential for the pre-mining feasibility study.
