ProposalDescription:

ProAct Mining Solution proposed to undertake desktop and prospecting activities within the jurisdiction of Vhembe District Municipality, Collins Chabane Local Municipality, Limpopo Province on Farms: Pagelee 274 Mt, Portion 0; Briggs 289 Mt, Portion 0; Green 290 Mt, Portion 0; Hatting 285; Kluster 293 Mt, Portion 0; Bannatyne 271, Portion 0; and Johnston 272, Portion 0.

Expanded_Motivation:

line with the 2021/22 IDP Collins Chababe Local Municipality, the Mining Sector contributes 9% to GDP and 0.8% Labour in the Area. The study area holds great potential to mining sector as it is regarded as one of the three pillars of the Limpopo Province, hence its strategic importance to the development of the economy of the district. The prospecting programme proposed by the Proact Mining Solution will address the investigation of the availability of an economic mineral resource in Collins Chabane Local municipality. Should prospecting of Gold Ore, Iron Ore, and Aluminum Ore comes out positive and resources are quantified; the subject land will become a viable and prosperous land use option for communities, and it would indicate a potential economic activity in the form of mining. Prospecting activities are therefore needed to: • Confirm and obtain additional information concerning potential targets through noninvasive activities (e.g. desktop studies and ground geophysical surveys) and invasive (e.g. drilling) activities. • Assess if the resource can be extracted through future mining in an environmentally socially and economically viable manner. Should prospecting activities prove that there are feasible minerals to allow for mining, a new mine may be developed which would generate extensive employment opportunities in an area where employment is needed leading economic growth through direct employment, future business opportunities, royalties, and tax revenues and also contribute greatly towards skills development.
