Development Type:

ProposalDescription:

The establishment of a 75 Megawatt Photo Voltaic Solar Facility on 166ha of Remainder of the Farm Dyason’s Klip 454 for RE Capital 3 (Pty) Ltd.

Expanded_Motivation:

The RE Capital 3 Solar Development (id 3324) was approved by SAHRA in a letter dated 19 March 2014 (Ref: 9/2/032/0004). As discussed between SAHRA and the applicant and SAHRA and the EAP, three new cases will be uploaded to SAHRIS in order to meet the requirements of the Department of Energy for the bidding process as follows: 1. The original approval needs to be split into 3 seperate entities (the previous approval allowed for a 225MW project on 500ha in 3 phases - this requested change merely allows for a seperate approval letter for each of the phases). 2. The farm portion needs to be ammended to reflect the correct farm portion as per the deeds office (The previous approval authorises the facility on portion 12 of Dyasonsklip 454 as per the surveyor general registration - The deeds office however lists the property as the Remainder of the farm 454 (although this is the exact same portion of land)) 3. The previous approval letter was made out to the EAP, Cape EAPrac and it is requested that this be made out to the applicant for each of the phases.
