ProposalDescription:

PGS Heritage (Pty) Ltd was appointed by the N’Komati Anthracite (Pty) Ltd to effect the relocation of approximately 25 graves located in traditional authority areas on the farm Figtree 503 JU, near Madadeni, Mpumalanga.

Expanded_Motivation:

The burial ground will be impacted by the expansion of mining activities planned by N’Komati Anthracite. We have conducted a process of stakeholder engagement to identify buried individuals and to obtain permission for exhumation and re-interment from the affected families, communities and other bona fide interested and affected parties. T2 Funeral Services will be responsible for the handling and reburial of the exhumed human remains. The details of the persons buried in the areas outlined above can be found in the attached grave register. The graves will be relocated to the traditional authority areas as requested by the families. Twenty-one graves on this farm have been positively identified by the affected families where the graves could positively be confirmed and a signed request form and affidavit for the relocation for each grave has been provided.
