Expanded_Motivation:

Dear Amafa, Subject : Renewal of Amafa Permit granted (11/12/2013 - Reference: 10/3Dbn/02 13/351) for 62 Sir Arthur Road , Morningside , Lot 488 Durban –The plans was previously submitted to Amafa in 2013 where and Amafa permit was granted for the additions and alterations , the plan had been submitted to council but had lapsed due to the previous architect immigrating to another country and the approval was never granted for the additions and alterations by council , the owner now would like to get these plans up to date and seeks to get approval from council. Objective - The main purpose of the application is to obtain a Renewal of the previous approved Amafa permit so that the plans can be re-submitted to the local municipality for approval and formalizing of the plans. Style Typical Berea style home with Edwardian influences. Urban setting - the adjoining houses are all a similar age and size, that have been added onto and revised in different styles over the years. The additions and alterations add value to the existing with the introduction of a new informal lounge and New covered veranda on the ground floor. On the basement level the introduction of a new covered patio and new storeroom, On the elevations the introduction of new columns, balustrading, shutters, and new southeast boundary wall which complements the home and helps to celebrate the Edwardian influences which adds value to its existing architectural style. We humbly ask that this application be favoured, and renewal of permit be granted speedy to finalize and submit these plans into council as the owner is under tremendous pressure to get these plans formalized. Kind Regards Andre Maistry
