Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

ProposalDescription: 

Eskom has been requested by the Mahikeng Local Municipality to electrify Setlopo East as part of service delivery and universal access to electricity. The project is part of the 2023/2024 Electrification Plan. The development falls under Molopo CNC. It comprises 152 stands and they are occupied. The houses are of brick and tin types. There is communal water around with electricity to be supplied by Eskom.

Expanded_Motivation: 

Install new overhead MV & LV infrastructure and supply 152 stands with service connections by installing the following: 11kV MV infrastructure 5994m Fox conductor 46 x 11m, 160-179mm ᴓ poles , 4 x 11m, 180-199mm ᴓ poles & 3 x 9m, 180-199mm ᴓ poles LV infrastructure 1470m x 35m2 3ph ABC conductor ,3473m x 70m2 3ph ABC conductor & 3473m x 105m2 1ph ABC conductor 160 x 7m 120-139mm ᴓ poles 54 x 5m 80-100mm ᴓ poles Auxiliary equipment 152 ready board & 152 smart meters 1x 50kVA transformer & 3x 100kVA transformers 7980 x 6mm2 Cu Tinned service cable 2 x 63A LV fuses, 6 x 125A LV fuses, 3 x 150A MCCB and 1x 80A MCCB 60 x 2-way P/T boxes & 15 x 4-way P/T boxes . 4 x Data Concentrators. Dismantle 50m x35 mm 1ph LV conductor and swing 5 existing connection to new network.
