ProposalDescription:

The applicant, Sasol Energy Technology [a Division of Sasol South Africa (Pty) Ltd] (Sasol), operates an existing underground fuel tank blending facility which accommodates fifteen underground tanks with a total capacity of 212m3. The site is located within the Sasol One complex in Sasolburg, Free State province.

Expanded_Motivation:

These tanks were installed in the 1980s and are reaching their end-of-life. Sasol intends to replace the existing tanks with nine new tanks with a capacity of 242m3 adjacent to the existing tanks. Due to the need for continuous operation, the new tanks will be installed and commissioned prior to the existing tanks being decommissioned and thus resulting in an interim increase in capacity of 242m3.
