ProposalDescription:

Proposed upgrading of water supply system at Eksteenskuil Eiland, Kai !Garib Local Municipality, ZF Mgcawu District Municipality, Northern Cape

Expanded_Motivation:

This project aims to supply the residents of Eksteenskuil Eiland with clean drinking water. Preliminary survey indicated that there are no protected sites in the affected region, we however require clearance from SAHRA to be able to adequately implement the project. The Department of Environment and Nature Conservation undertook an assesment of the proposed project site and advised that there is no need for an EIA as the project is in an already developed area, DENC however advised that a vegetation removal permit will be required. Our appointed environmental practitioner is currently in the process of applying for the permits. Project layouts, project brief and letter from DENC are attached in the additional information section.
